Who are the Madison-Danville Jaycees?

A chapter of the West Virginia Jaycees and part of the Junior Chamber International, the Madison-Danville Jaycees have been training a new generation of leaders through community serivce.  Since our incorporation nearly 70 years ago, we have helped change the lives of hundreds individuals and have been nationally recognized for our service efforts.  Locally we are known for our annual Haunted House attraction that raises money for training opportunities and events to better our community.  Most recently, the Madison-Danville Jaycees have been recognized as a Blue Chip Chapter and for the first time in ten years, we are excited to announce that one of our chapter members will be serving as state president for the West Virginia Junior Chamber.

What is the Junior Chamber International?

More than a service organization, the "Jaycees" (United States Junior Chamber, a branch of the Junior Chamber International) offer men and women ages 18 to 41 the opportunity for skill building and the satisfaction of helping and being part of a team. Members can reach their fullest potential at home, at work, and as concerned contributors to their community. They make contacts that open doors for more successful careers and the friendships developed last a lifetime. Many find the time they spent involved in Jaycee projects to be the most satisfying of their lives. Jaycee programs and projects are designed to benefit the individual member and the community. Both prosper because Jaycee activities bring about an improved quality of life for everyone involved.

We Believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

You guys are in Boone County?  Isn't that really far away?
